Lindsey Buckingham's Stalker Declared Unfit for Trial

A Los Angeles County judge ruled that Michelle Dick, 55, is not competent to stand trial for a series of stalking and assault offenses against former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Dick faces six felony and one misdemeanor counts, including alleged vehicle‑ramming, vandalism of Buckingham’s Mercedes‑Benz, and violating a restraining order that was granted in December 2024. The court found she cannot handle the case and ordered medical treatment for her psychiatric condition, scheduling a follow‑up hearing for August 27 to consider restoring competency or placing her in a mental‑health diversion program that could lead to dismissal of the charges.

Dick was arrested in Indiana after the March incident and is also charged with stalking a second victim. She has pleaded not guilty to all seven charges. Judge Robert S. Harrison presided over the hearing.
