Lindsey Graham urged Trump to strike Hezbollah until Netanyahu warned against it
New documentary footage titled “Lindsey’s Game,” captured by British filmmaker Alex Holder between 2023 and 2026, shows the late Senator Lindsey Graham pressing President Donald Trump to broaden U.S. military action from Iran to include a strike on Hezbollah in Lebanon. In a phone call on March 4, 2026, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cautioned Graham, saying the United States should remain focused on Iran and that threatening Hezbollah could backfire. Graham accepted the advice, replying that it was “good counsel.” The recordings also capture Graham celebrating the opening U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran, calling the war “the best thing I’ve ever done,” and saying he “almost cried.” He predicted that Iran would lose control of some cities within three to four weeks, a forecast that never materialised. Additional clips show Graham comparing Trump and Netanyahu to Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, and expressing frustration with a June memorandum of understanding on Iran, accusing Trump of “letting this thing slip away.”
