Lindt lowers 2026 growth forecasts amid new product launch
Lindt has launched a new product in Italy, the Lindor golden caramel and hazelnut, as part of an innovation strategy ahead of the Christmas season. The new product, which combines white chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut pieces, is available in 200-gram praline bags and 100-gram bars.
This product launch coincides with the company revising its 2026 organic sales growth forecasts downward. The group now expects growth between 0% and 2%, a significant reduction from the previously projected 4% to 6%.
The company attributed this slowdown to weak consumer confidence and increased price sensitivity. Additionally, lower-than-expected orders in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, alongside an exceptional heatwave in Europe, have negatively impacted the chocolate sector.
