Lindy Li alleges Kamala Harris targeted Biden donors before his exit

Former Democratic fundraiser Lindy Li claims that Kamala Harris was positioning herself to secure Joe Biden’s donor base shortly before he withdrew from the 2024 presidential race. In her book, ‘Unburdened,’ and recent interviews, Li describes Harris’s actions as a ‘charade’ intended to audition for Biden’s endorsement.

Li, who previously held prominent roles within the Democratic National Committee and worked as a fundraiser for both Biden and Harris, alleges that Harris maintained a public appearance of total loyalty to Biden. According to Li, Harris instructed her staff not to discuss her potential ascension to the nomination while simultaneously hosting calls with major contributors to build relationships for her own future campaign.

Li suggests that while Harris told donors there was ‘no daylight’ between herself and Biden, she was actively preparing for the possibility of his campaign collapse, which some insiders reportedly anticipated following his debate performance.
