Iga Świątek drops to eighth in WTA rankings after early Wimbledon exit

After losing in the third round of Wimbledon, Polish world No. 3 Iga Świątek fell five places to eighth in the latest WTA rankings, her biggest slip within the top ten this season. Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus retained the world No. 1 spot, extending her unbeaten run at the top to 91 consecutive weeks and nearing the 100‑week milestone. Elena Rybakina remains No. 2, while Jessica Pegula moved to third and Coco Gauff to fourth. Czech players Linda Nosková, the new Wimbledon champion, rose to seventh and Karolina Muchová to sixth. The ranking shift also saw Victoria Mboko and Belinda Bencic fall out of the top ten, and several other players change positions. Polish media commentators suggested Świątek may need changes in her coaching team and broader support to regain form.
