LINE introduces message editing feature via LINE Labs
LINE has introduced a new “Edit Message” feature, currently available for free testing through LINE Labs. This function allows users to modify text messages in one-on-one and group chats within 15 minutes of sending them. For Keep notes, the editing window extends to six days.
Once a message is edited, the updated content will appear in the chat with an “Edited” label to notify other members of the change. However, the system does not retain or allow users to view previous versions of the message. The feature is limited to text; photos, videos, voice messages, files, and stickers cannot be edited. It is also currently unavailable for LINE OpenChat and official accounts.
To access the feature, mobile users must update to version 26.12.0 or higher and enable it via Settings > LINE Labs. Desktop users require version 26.4.0 or higher. While the feature is currently free, it is unclear if it will eventually become a paid service for LINE Premium members.
