LINE MAN Wongnai launches AI assistant to support Thai restaurant SMEs

Thailand's Ministry of Finance and LINE MAN Wongnai are collaborating to integrate artificial intelligence into the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector through the ‘Thai Chuay Thai Plus’ project. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanprapas emphasized using technology to create economic opportunities and distribute income to small retailers.

To support this digital transition, LINE MAN Wongnai has launched ‘Wongnai Genie,’ an AI assistant designed specifically for restaurant owners. The tool functions as a virtual manager, providing 24-hour assistance in analyzing sales data, managing costs, predicting sales trends, and optimizing staff scheduling. It aims to allow small businesses to utilize big data similarly to large brands by converting complex information into actionable insights through natural language queries.

Additionally, Krungthai Bank has introduced an AI feature within its ‘Thung Ngern’ application to help entrepreneurs analyze business trends and compare performance with similar local businesses. This data can subsequently be used to support loan applications with participating financial institutions.
