LINE offers refunds for themes broken by iOS 26 update
Following the update to iOS 26 and its Liquid Glass visual specifications, many LINE users have reported issues with purchased themes. The update has caused custom menu icons to shrink significantly or revert to default system icons, and some background designs have been cropped or obscured.
LINE has opened a dedicated refund form for users affected by these display issues. To apply, users should navigate to the LINE Help Center, select “Themes” and “Theme-related issues,” and follow the link to the specialized refund form. Applicants must provide their email, purchase details (found in their shopping history), and screenshots of the visual errors. LINE typically responds to these requests within one to two business days, offering refunds in the form of LINE Coins or original payment methods.
Content creators have expressed frustration regarding the new interface. Illustrators, including Raimochi, have noted that even when themes are redesigned to meet the new standards, the reduced icon space diminishes the detail of their work. Users are advised to check the theme store for compatibility notes: themes marked as “supporting partial iOS 26 design specifications” may still have missing icons, while those with no such warning are fully compatible with the new standards.
