LINE WEBTOON launches horizontal page-turning mode for manga

LINE WEBTOON has launched a new “page-turning manga” feature designed to replicate the reading rhythm of traditional Japanese tankobon manga on mobile screens. This horizontal scrolling mode aims to preserve the original panel composition, spread layouts, and pacing of physical books.

Currently, 24 popular titles have transitioned to this format, including “Jujutsu Kaisen”, “Demon Slayer”, “My Hero Academia”, “SPY×FAMILY”, “ONE PIECE”, and “Dandadan”. The update allows readers to choose between traditional vertical scrolling and the new horizontal page-turning mode, providing more flexibility for consuming Korean webtoons, Taiwanese original comics, global CANVAS content, and Japanese manga within a single platform.
