Link Campus University Director urges youth political engagement
Roberto Russo, Director General of Link Campus University in Rome, emphasized the importance of youth involvement in politics during the 2026 edition of the ‘60 under 30’ event. Hosted by the university and promoted by the association ‘La Giovane Roma’ and its magazine ‘Politica’, the event aims to reward future political leaders and facilitate dialogue between them and contemporary politicians.
Russo argued that while universities traditionally prepare students for professional roles such as medicine, law, or engineering, there is a critical need for young people to engage in politics. He challenged the perception of politics as a ‘dirty’ field, suggesting instead that the best energies should be dedicated to political life to ensure a better future. He stressed that political participation should be encouraged regardless of party affiliation, noting that democratic progress stems from the union of ideas and constructive confrontation rather than ideology.
