Link Campus University expands academic presence in Italy
Link Campus University is expanding its educational presence in Italy, specifically targeting Matera and the Piceno region. In Matera, the university will offer courses in Medicine and Surgery as well as Physiotherapy. While the arrival of the private institution is viewed as an economic and demographic opportunity to combat depopulation, it has sparked political debate regarding the Basilicata Region's strategy for supporting the public University of Basilicata (Unibas).
In the Piceno area, the university is establishing a presence with 63 available spots in Medicine for the upcoming academic year. The institution also offers various open-access programs in fields such as Pharmacy, Communication Sciences, Media and Digital Technologies, and Artificial Intelligence Engineering. To accommodate students, the university provides flexible attendance options via live streaming, though students currently must travel to Rome for exams in non-medical courses, a limitation the institution is working to resolve through ANVUR.
