LinkedIn algorithm shift cuts company page reach, lifts personal engagement

LinkedIn’s 2026 algorithm update has reduced public “likes,” comments and shares by double‑digit percentages—likes down 13%, comments down 17% and shares down 10%—while overall user engagement rose about 14% through invisible interactions such as clicks, swipes and profile visits.

The same update deprioritized corporate pages. Organic reach for company pages fell 60%–66%, leaving them with roughly five percent of feed allocation and only about 1.6% of follower exposure. Engagement metrics for personal profiles now average 4.7%, compared with just one to two percent for company pages. The platform now rewards depth‑scoring signals—sustained comments, saves and direct shares—over surface reactions, pushing marketers toward personal‑profile content.

These changes signal a fundamental shift in how professionals interact on LinkedIn, emphasizing private curiosity and deeper conversation over the public metrics that once dominated the platform.
