LinkedIn tests new “Network” tab to prioritize direct connections
LinkedIn is testing a new “Network” tab designed to prioritize content from people a user follows or is directly connected to. The initiative aims to provide a more concentrated space for personal connections, moving away from a feed primarily driven by algorithms.
According to LinkedIn Product Director Hari Srinivasan, the feature is intended to encourage more interaction between users who actually know one another. This move comes as the platform attempts to combat “engagement pods”—groups that artificially boost post metrics—and the rising volume of AI-generated content that can clutter user feeds with generic or non-genuine interactions.
