Linkin Park celebrates 25 years of the hit song ‘In The End’

The Linkin Park song ‘In The End’ has reached its 25th anniversary since its release on October 9, 2001, as part of the debut album Hybrid Theory. The track is noted for its blend of Mike Shinoda’s rap, Chester Bennington’s vocals, heavy guitars, and electronic samples, which helped define the nu metal sound of the early 21st century.

While the song became a massive hit, Chester Bennington was reportedly initially unconvinced of its strength. The track remains a significant part of the band's legacy, maintaining popularity through streaming services and social media.

Additionally, the band’s 2003 live release ‘Live in Texas’ continues to be a notable piece of their history. Documenting performances from the Summer Sanitarium Tour at Reliant Stadium and Texas Stadium, the CD/DVD set features hits such as ‘Numb’, ‘Faint’, and ‘In the End’, alongside performances by Metallica, Limp Bizkit, and Deftones.
