Linksys launches Signal Studio for real-world Wi-Fi testing

Linksys has launched the Signal Studio, a dedicated Wi-Fi and broadband testing facility located in Reading. The facility is designed to move testing beyond traditional laboratory settings, which often rely on predictable interference and ideal device positioning that do not reflect actual consumer experiences.

The Signal Studio recreates realistic residential environments, including kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, and home offices, furnished with typical household devices. To simulate various architectural challenges, the studio utilizes configurable wall structures that can be repositioned to mimic the construction characteristics of both modern and older homes. This allows service providers to study how different building materials and complex home layouts impact wireless performance and connectivity.
