Lino Banfi Receives ‘Città di Martina Franca’ Award at 30th Festival del Cabaret

The 30th edition of the Festival del Cabaret in Martina Franca runs from 21 to 23 August in the atrium of the Ateneo Bruni. The municipal administration has declared 2026 the “Year of the Smile” to mark the festival’s three‑decade milestone.

On 23 August, veteran Italian comedian Lino Banfi, who turned 90 on 9 July, will be honored with the “Città di Martina Franca” prize for his long career across theatre, cinema, television and radio. The following day, professor Vincenzo Schettini will receive the annual Sirio prize, recognizing his popular science project “La fisica che ci piace,” which has reached millions and even featured on the Sanremo Festival stage.

Tickets are on sale through Vivaticket and the Sirio association, with three‑night passes priced at €68 and single‑event tickets ranging from €25 to €30.
