Linđo Folklore Ensemble performs at Dubrovnik Summer Festival

The Linđo Folklore Ensemble concluded its participation in the 77th Dubrovnik Summer Festival with a final performance in front of the Dubrovnik Cathedral. This marked the ensemble's fourth appearance at this year's festival, following previous performances at the Church of St. Blaise and the Revelin Fortress terrace.

The program showcased the diversity of Croatian traditional culture, featuring choreography and music from regions including Hrvatsko Zagorje, Posavina, Split, Valpovo, and the Bunjevci. A highlight of the evening was the ‘Dubrovačka poskočica Linđo’, which serves as a symbol of the ensemble's connection to local Dubrovnik traditions and protected intangible cultural heritage.

Founded in 1965, the Linđo Folklore Ensemble has been a regular part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival since 1967. The ensemble is named after the traditional dance of the Dubrovnik coast, Župa, and Konavle, which is recognized on the list of protected intangible cultural goods of the Republic of Croatia.
