Linor SRL sawmill declared bankrupt in Misiones, Argentina
A court in Misiones, Argentina, has declared the bankruptcy of the sawmill Linor SRL following its failure to comply with a previously approved preventive agreement. The ruling, issued by Judge Adriana Beatriz Fiori of the Eighth Civil and Commercial Court of First Instance in Posadas, aims to secure funds for significant debts and employee indemnities.
As part of the bankruptcy proceedings, the court has ordered the seizure of the company's facilities, machinery, and vehicles, as well as the freezing of its bank accounts. The resolution also includes travel restrictions for the employer, Juan Carlos Lorenzo. The bankruptcy affects approximately 130 workers, 97 of whom are formally registered, who have faced uncertainty regarding their labor rights and compensation since May.
