Linyi hosts international sourcing conference for global buyers

The 4th Linyi Trade City International Sourcing Conference is currently taking place in Linyi, Shandong province, from October 28 to 30. The event, themed ‘Bridging the world, sourcing global excellence’, has attracted more than 2,000 overseas buyers from over 110 countries and regions, including Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. These international participants are joining over 4,000 domestic buyers for on-site matchmaking and sourcing.

As part of the conference, the Linyi International Product Selection Center is showcasing various goods, including hardware, labor protection products, boards, and general merchandise. The center currently hosts 347 enterprises, the majority of which are local Linyi companies, with 90 percent operating as source factories and 70 percent being integrated manufacturing and trading firms with export experience.

Abdulla A Ibrahim Elfrid, vice-president of the Africa-China Association for Cooperation, Development and Investment, noted that Linyi’s large-scale specialized markets and efficient supply capacity are particularly attractive to African buyers due to the alignment between Linyi’s manufacturing strengths and African market demand.
