Linz and Eisenstadt projects face resident complaints over noise and traffic safety

The leisure zone "Under the Bridge" in Linz, which includes a small gastronomy area, has drawn complaints from nearby residents about noise. The municipal party LinzPlus, which originally supported the project, is now demanding an evaluation of the site.

In Eisenstadt, city officials and Burgenland authorities have launched a three‑month pilot in August that will temporarily reduce the four‑lane Mattersburger Straße to a single lane. The test aims to assess whether pedestrian safety can be improved without unduly restricting the flow of thousands of daily commuters.
