Linz, Austria, continues to experience population growth, reaching 214,809 residents as of August 1, 2026. This represents an increase of 613 residents over the previous year and a total growth of more than 13,000 people over the last decade, a 6.6% increase.

While the city maintains its position as Austria's third-largest city behind Vienna and Graz, the growth presents significant infrastructural challenges.
