Linzer Klangwolke and Brucknerfest to launch Upper Austria cultural season

The Linzer Klangwolke and the International Brucknerfest are set to launch the cultural autumn season in Upper Austria. The 2026 Klangwolke, titled ‘ATTheENDLinz’, will address contemporary issues such as social upheaval, the climate crisis, and war and peace. Directed by Felix Breisach, the event will use the Danube as a central stage.

As part of the production, the motor yacht Esperanza will serve as one of eight vessels equipped with large LED screens to provide visual accompaniment to the music. The technical setup involves significant modifications to the ships, including the installation of steel structures and heavy equipment to support professional lighting and sound displays.

The Brucknerfest will open with a keynote speech by writer Maja Haderlap, featuring performances by the Upper Austrian Youth Symphony Orchestra under conductor Kajsa Boström. The ORF Oberösterreich will provide live broadcasts of both major events via radio and digital platforms.
