Lion Parcel launches MINIPACK for sub‑300 g parcels in Indonesia

Lion Parcel introduced a new service called MINIPACK aimed at shipments weighing under 300 grams, responding to a surge in lightweight e‑commerce orders in Indonesia. Chief Marketing Officer Kenny Kwanto said customers have been paying the standard one‑kilogram rate despite sending much lighter items, prompting the company to offer a lower‑cost option. The service targets categories such as documents, small accessories, personal‑care products, and tiny electronic components. Pricing examples include a Jakarta‑Makassar delivery for Rp23,000, roughly half the regular rate, and a Jakarta‑Medan delivery for Rp18,000, also about 50 % of the standard charge. Kwanto expects the MINIPACK offering to improve cost efficiency for consumers and align logistics with the growing trend of single‑item online purchases.
