Lionel Messi diversifies with Argentine ranch purchase as he shines for Inter Miami

Argentine football star Lionel Messi has expanded his business portfolio in his home country by acquiring a 6,800‑hectare estate called “Rincón Chico” near San Carlos, Corrientes. The ranch, bought in 2015, combines cattle ranching, forestry, rice cultivation and yerba mate production, and complements another field he owns in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos, acquired in 2011. These land holdings illustrate Messi’s long‑term investment strategy beyond his sporting career.

On the sporting side, Inter Miami coach Ángel Guillermo Hoyos praised Messi after the Argentine’s return to the MLS, likening his artistry on the pitch to that of painter Pablo Picasso. Messi scored two goals in a 4‑2 League Cup victory over Atlético San Luis and helped his team to a 2‑2 draw with Columbus Crew on 1 August, reinforcing his status as the league’s marquee player.
