Lionel Messi expands agribusiness with Argentine farm valued at $20 million

Argentine football star Lionel Messi has invested heavily in agribusiness through the Estancia Rincón Chico property in Corrientes province. The 6,800‑hectare estate, acquired by his family in 2015, is valued at roughly R$ 103 million and produces cattle, rice and yerba‑mate, the latter a cultural staple of nearby Misiones.

The farm lies about 60 km from Posadas, near the Misiones border, and operates as an active commercial enterprise rather than a private retreat. The investment reflects a broader trend among elite athletes to diversify wealth into productive land assets.
