Lionel Messi expands maritime business with luxury catamaran

Lionel Messi is expanding his maritime business ventures with the acquisition of a luxury Sunreef Ultima 88 catamaran. The vessel, valued between 8 and 10 million euros, is currently being constructed in the United Arab Emirates by the Polish shipyard Sunreef Yachts.

The catamaran will be integrated into MIM Ocean, a luxury yacht rental business developed by Messi in partnership with Med Cat Yachts. This venture complements his existing hospitality investments through MIM Hotels. The fleet operates in high-end destinations such as the Balearic Islands in Spain, as well as the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

The Sunreef Ultima 88 measures approximately 28.4 meters in length and 9.3 meters in width. Designed for both personal use and high-end tourism, the yacht features a master suite with a private sauna, four guest cabins, and an ‘Ocean Lounge’ with retractable side platforms for water access. It is also equipped to carry watercraft, such as jet skis, and features dual 1,000 HP engines.
