Lionel Messi retires from Argentina national team

Lionel Messi has concluded his international career with Argentina following a final match against Benin. The retirement of the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner marks the end of a historic era for the national team.

In connection with his retirement, Messi sent a special gift to RB Leipzig player Brajan Gruda. Gruda received a pair of strictly limited ‘F50 Messi El Último Tango’ Adidas football boots, which Messi wore during his final appearance. Only 208 pairs were produced globally to honor Messi’s 208 appearances for Argentina. Gruda, who is one of ten young professionals personally selected by Messi to receive this edition, shared his excitement about the gift on social media.
