Lionel Richie postpones 2026 concert to 2027 and recalls 1982 debut single

American singer Lionel Richie announced that his concert scheduled for 18 August 2026 has been postponed to an unspecified date in 2027. Ticket holders can either request refunds via email or keep their tickets, which will remain valid for the rescheduled shows. New dates are expected to be announced on 31 October 2026.

Richie’s career milestones were also highlighted, noting that his first solo single "Truly" was released in 1982, topped the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart for four weeks, and earned him a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance.
