Lionel Richie postpones shows after onstage dizziness and hospital visit

During the opening night of his "Sing A Song All Night Long" tour at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 24, 77‑year‑old singer Lionel Richie experienced a dizzy spell while performing “Dancing on the Ceiling.” He seated himself, continued briefly, but later left the stage and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Live Nation announced that the next two dates – Chicago on June 26 and Columbus, Ohio on June 27 – are postponed. Richie is expected to resume the tour on June 30 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, alongside Earth, Wind & Fire. The tour, slated to run through August across the United States and Canada, will continue after a brief rescheduling of the cancelled shows.
