Lioness Season 3 finale concludes with major cliffhanger

The third season of Taylor Sheridan’s spy drama ‘Lioness’ concluded on Paramount+ with a major cliffhanger. The finale revealed that Aaliyah Amrohi, played by Stephanie Nur, was responsible for the kidnapping of CIA officer Joe McNamara, played by Zoe Saldaña. This twist connects back to the first season, where McNamara’s colleague, Cruz Manuelos, betrayed Aaliyah by killing her father and fiancé while undercover.

While the season finale has sparked discussions regarding the show’s direction and the personal consequences for its characters, a fourth season has not yet been officially confirmed. Observers note that previous seasons experienced significant gaps between finales and renewals, often ranging from eight to ten months. Potential delays for a renewal could be attributed to the heavy workload of creator Taylor Sheridan and the busy filming schedules of lead actors Zoe Saldaña and Nicole Kidman.

Production details also emerged, including the revelation that a scene appearing to take place in Doha, Qatar, was actually filmed at a mansion in Texas using CGI to create the skyline.
