Lioness Season 3 finale reveals mastermind behind Joe McNamara's abduction

The third season of the Paramount+ espionage thriller ‘Lioness’ concluded with a dramatic finale titled ‘The Unraveling.’ The episode revealed that Aaliyah Amrohi, the daughter of a target from the first season, orchestrated the abduction of protagonist Joe McNamara (Zoe Saldaña) as an act of revenge.

The finale also featured a significant personal cliffhanger, as Joe’s husband, Neal (Dave Annable), left her and their daughters, signaling a fracture in their marriage. While the CIA continues to investigate the broader conspiracy, the season ended with major questions regarding the identity of internal moles and the long-term consequences of the team's covert operations.

Although Paramount+ has not officially renewed the series for a fourth season, the high viewership and the season's cliffhanger have led to widespread speculation. Cast members and producers have expressed optimism regarding a potential continuation.
