Lioni advances sports infrastructure with new courts and facility renovations

The municipality of Lioni is advancing several sports infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing community engagement. At the BRK facility, renovations are nearing completion, which will include the addition of a new padel court and a bocce court.

In addition to the BRK upgrades, the renovation of the local sports field is also in its final stages. These initiatives were part of a strategic plan initiated by former sports delegate Sabatino Fonso, who established a Sports Commission composed of athletes, technicians, and educators to translate community needs into actionable projects.

The construction work has been carried out by the firm Roemi in collaboration with several local businesses, including Rocco Capobianco Scavi, R.O.S. di Rosa Orazio Salvatore, and Di Domenico Giuseppe. Fonso noted that the involvement of local professionals adds significant value to the projects through a shared sense of community commitment.
