Lions Club Italy appoints new presidents in Aragona and Nuoro

The Lions Club branches in southern Italy held leadership ceremonies in early July. In Aragona, Comitini, Grotte and Racalmuto, outgoing president Antonio Vella handed the presidency to Giovanni Volpe at a ceremony on 5 July at Casa Diodoros. The event included the induction of three new members and the presentation of several awards, such as two Melvin Jones Fellowships and the Club Excellence Award for the 2024/2025 social year.

Two days later, the Lions Club Nuoro Host in Nuoro conducted its Passaggio della campana, where school director Antonio Fadda passed the baton to Pasquale Sanna, a physician, as the new club president. The new board for the 2026‑2027 term includes first vice‑president Stefania Usai, second vice‑president Claudio Pintore, secretary Fabrizio Marongiu and other officials. Both clubs emphasized their commitment to service, community health and social welfare.

These ceremonies reflect the ongoing tradition of service and leadership renewal within Italy’s Lions Club network.
