Lions Club leadership transitions in Alessandria and Viterbo, Italy

In Alessandria, the Lions Club Cittadella held its traditional "Passaggio della Campana" ceremony to install Paola Bonzano as president for the 2026‑2027 social year, succeeding Mario Pasino who could not attend for health reasons. The new board was presented and Bonzano outlined projects supporting oncology patients, nutrition and wellbeing programmes, wig‑fundraising, disability initiatives, anti‑addiction campaigns, cultural events, a scholarship and continued collaborations with local charities.

In Viterbo, university professor and lawyer Gabriele Sabato was elected president for 2026‑27, taking over from Gianpaolo Arieti. Sabato highlighted recent service actions such as the restoration of a medieval lunette in the San Silvestro church and a donation to the Tuscia in Jazz for Sla association, and announced plans to revive the Leo Club youth section after years of inactivity.
