Lions Club members hold two-day meeting in Recanati and Loreto
Approximately seventy Lions Club members from various Italian clubs, including Vasto, Ortona, Lanciano, Atri, and Naples, participated in a two-day national intermeeting in the Recanati and Loreto regions.
Organized by the Lions Club Recanati Loreto Host on October 3 and 4, the event aimed to promote extended tourism in the area, moving beyond brief visits centered solely on Leopardi or the Holy House. The itinerary included tours of Recanati’s historic center, civic museums, and the 18th-century theater, as well as sites related to Giacomo Leopardi, such as the Biblioteca di Casa Leopardi and the Orto sul Colle dell’Infinito.
On the second day, participants visited Loreto’s Basilica, where Archbishop Fabio Dal Cin addressed the group regarding the significance of pilgrimage. The initiative also provided economic benefits to the local area, involving several hotels and restaurants through specialized menus and museum ticket sales.
