Lions Club raises €66,000 for German youth theatre and medical charity

The Lions Club Seesen‑Osterode donated €1,000 to support the youth work of the Gandersheimer Domfestspiele, a theatre festival in Bad Gandersheim that offers programs for ages 7 to 80 and provides theatre‑therapy for patients of the Roswitha clinic.

Separately, the 8th German Lions Golf Championship in the Weselerwald Golf Club generated about €65,000 for Friedensdorf International in Oberhausen, a facility that treats severely injured children from countries lacking adequate medical care. The event attracted a record 101 participants and included a visit by 150 guests to the charity, with contributions from the local Volksbank Dorsten and a silent auction.
