Lions Club tennis tournament raises funds for guide dogs

The 19th edition of the ‘Torneo Giallo dell’Amicizia Lionistica’ concluded on October 4, organized by the Lions Club Fasano and Leo Club Fasano. The tennis tournament was held to raise funds for the ‘Lions Guide Dog Service,’ which supports the training of guide dogs at a specialized facility in Limbiate.

The interclub event featured eighteen players from various Lions Clubs, including those from Bari, Brindisi, Martina Franca, and Ostuni. The tournament utilized a unique technical format where doubles partners and opponents were decided by random draw each round, encouraging collaboration among players of different ages and skill levels.

Qualification rounds took place at the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia in Ostuni, while the final stages were held at the Tennis Club della Selva in Fasano. The Esposito-Faggiano team emerged victorious in this edition.
