Lions Club Vasto Hosts Book Launch on Gender Violence

The Lions Club Vasto Host organized an evening dedicated to culture, dialogue and awareness on gender‑based violence. Psychiatrist Gianfranco Contini, a member of the Lions Club Chieti, presented his novel *Squilibro*, which explores male narcissism and the psychological roots of violence against women. He was joined by psychologist Luigi Gileno for a discussion that combined literary analysis, clinical insight and social reflection.

The event also served as a fundraiser to support a Lions Club service aimed at promoting a culture of gender respect and preventing violence. Proceeds will be used to involve local high schools, the Vasto municipality, community associations and the local prison in an educational network that spreads awareness, responsibility and mutual respect.
