Lions Clubs launch new disability support and vision health initiatives in Italy

The Lions Club Specially Reggio Calabria Kairos has officially joined the Lions Clubs International network. Led by President Ketty Marino, the new club aims to support individuals with disabilities and their families. The initiative focuses on providing concrete support to prevent family members from feeling isolated while navigating the challenges of disability.

In Campobasso, the Lions Club held an event for International Sight Week titled ‘La Prevenzione è nel tuo Sguardo’. The initiative included free vision screenings conducted by Dr. Pietro D’Anchera and an educational seminar led by Prof. Roberto Dell’Omo. The session addressed the prevention of eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.
