Lionsgate greenlights horror film ‘Portrait of God’ starring Chase Infiniti

Lionsgate has greenlit and acquired the horror feature film ‘Portrait of God’, an adaptation of filmmaker Dylan Clark’s viral YouTube short. The project marks a significant collaboration between horror producers Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele, who will produce via Ghost House Pictures and Monkeypaw Productions, respectively.

Chase Infiniti, known for her roles in ‘One Battle After Another’ and ‘The Testaments’, is set to star in the film. The story, described as a twist on religious horror, expands upon the original seven-minute short which garnered over 10 million views. The feature screenplay was co-written by Clark and Joe Russo.

The project was previously in development at Universal before being moved to Lionsgate. This acquisition deepens the studio's partnership with Clark, who is also slated to direct an upcoming ‘Blair Witch’ film for the company.
