Lippeverband begins new construction phase on Seseke-Weg

The Lippeverband has announced a new phase of asphalt construction on the Seseke-Weg, which will result in partial closures starting Monday, August 24. The current work phase involves the section between Mühlenstraße in Bergkamen and Preußenstraße in Lünen, with completion expected by the end of October.

Other ongoing projects include work in Kamen, where asphalt is being laid between Kleystraße and Derner Straße, and preparation for the section from Derner Straße to Ostenallee. These areas are scheduled for completion by late September. The total infrastructure project, spanning Bönen, Kamen, Bergkamen, and Lünen, is expected to continue in stages until spring 2027.

The project has a total cost of approximately 2.4 million euros. It aims to improve riding and walking comfort on the popular path while reducing long-term maintenance requirements. The Lippeverband is implementing detours and will provide notice for future closures.
