Lippeverband celebrates 100 years with new environmental projects
To mark its 100th anniversary, the Lippeverband is highlighting various environmental and community projects in North Rhine-Westphalia. In Datteln, a new outdoor learning space known as the ‘Blue Classroom’ has been inaugurated near the revitalized Mühlenbach stream. The project, which cost approximately 200,000 euros, was made possible through a cooperation between the Lippeverband, the Emschergenossenschaft, and urban development funding.
Additionally, the Soest sewage treatment plant will host an open house on September 6. The event aims to provide the public with insights into wastewater purification processes and includes educational activities for families, organized as part of the Lippeverband’s centenary celebrations.
