Lippstadt celebrates 100 years of Herbstwoche festival

Lippstadt is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Herbstwoche, a traditional folk festival. To mark the centenary, the event has been extended by one day and will run until October 25.

Key highlights of the festivities include a lantern parade on the Lippe river organized by the Wassersportclub Lippstadt, featuring decorated boats. This is followed by a water organ performance by the Harsewinkel Volunteer Fire Department and a large fireworks display led by Westfälische Feuerwerks UG & Co. KG.

The anniversary program includes various historical tributes, such as commemorative pins, bags, and a book of historical photographs. Other scheduled activities include a family day with discounted rides, a parade on October 24, and various amusement rides.
