Lipu Rimini highlights Marecchia River environmental degradation

A Lipu Rimini representative led a walk along the urban stretch of the Marecchia River to highlight environmental degradation and the loss of biodiversity. Participants observed various types of waste, including syringes, bottles, clothing, and chemical containers, which threaten the local ecosystem and the sea.

The initiative calls for improved management from both the Municipality and the Region, emphasizing the need for better cleaning, monitoring, and habitat protection to preserve the river's natural beauty and its role as a vital habitat for species such as herons and cormorants.
