Liranyi Alonso wins 100m at Janusz Kusociński Memorial in Poland

Dominican sprinter Liranyi Alonso concluded her 2026 season with a victory in the 100-meter dash at the Janusz Kusociński Memorial in Silesia, Poland. Alonso recorded a time of 11.28 seconds to secure first place.

She outperformed Poland’s Malgorzata Pojeta, who finished second with 11.62 seconds, and Maayke Tjin A-Lim of the Netherlands, who took third with 11.68 seconds. The event was held at the Silesia Stadium in Chorzów.

This win follows a successful year for Alonso, which included winning four gold medals at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo. Looking ahead, she is preparing for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima and the 2027 World Athletics Championships.
