The civic platform Liria ka Emër has organized the ‘March for Freedom’ in Pristina, scheduled for 14:00 at Skënderbeu Square. The march is held in solidarity with former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi, who are facing trial at the Special Court in The Hague. A verdict regarding these former leaders is expected on September 16.

Political figures have responded to the event with varying stances. The Vetëvendosje movement expressed support for the march while strongly criticizing the establishment of the Special Court, labeling it a political and anti-Albanian initiative that undermines Kosovo's sovereignty. Conversely, leaders such as Bedri Hamza of the PDK and Ardian Gjini of the AAK are participating as speakers. Fikrim Damka, chairman of the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP), also joined the call for the march.

The platform has also called upon the diaspora to gather in The Hague on September 15 and 16 for ‘The Night of Waiting’ to support the former commanders.
