Çlirim Haziri demands release of two arrested KLA veterans
Çlirim Haziri, the organizer of protests against the Special Court, has called for the immediate release of two KLA veterans, Ekrem Selimi and Fatlum Zogaj, who were arrested during recent demonstrations.
The two men were placed in pre-trial detention for one month by the Basic Court in Prishtina following tensions between police and protesters on October 5. Zogaj is suspected of involvement in an incident involving Vetëvendosje deputy Fahrush Rexhepi. Selimi is identified as a member of the leadership of the KLA War Veterans Organization.
Haziri stated that while the recent vote on the KLA Law was a moment of pride, it remains incomplete as long as these protesters are held away from their families. He argued that their participation in the protests was a natural expression of protecting national history and values.
