Lisa Baum scores winning goal on Arsenal debut

Lisa Baum scored the winning goal on her competitive debut for Arsenal Women in a 1-0 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women's Super League. The 19-year-old, who joined the club for a German-record fee of approximately €600,000, scored just nine minutes into the match after driving forward from midfield.

Following the match, Baum dedicated the goal to her late brother, Dennis, who passed away in a car accident in 2022. She shared the tribute on social media, noting the emotional significance of the moment.

Baum, who previously played for Hamburger SV and Leipzig, demonstrated a high level of influence during her 63 minutes on the pitch, recording 42 touches and maintaining 100 per cent shot accuracy.
