LISA documentary ‘Always Lalisa’ set for global theatrical release

The documentary ‘Always Lalisa’ is set for a global theatrical release on October 12, following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada. Directed by Sue Kim, the film explores a transformative year in the life of Lalisa Manobal, known globally as LISA from the K-pop group BLACKPINK.

The documentary follows Lisa during a period of transition as she focuses on her solo career while temporarily stepping away from group activities. It captures key milestones, including the creation and release of her solo album ‘Alter Ego’, her performance at Coachella, and her acting debut in the series ‘The White Lotus’. The film aims to reveal the individual behind the pop star persona.

In Brazil, screenings are scheduled for October 12, 14, and 17. In Sorocaba, specifically, theaters such as Multiplex Pátio Cianê and Cinépolis Iguatemi Sorocaba have confirmed sessions. The film will receive a limited theatrical release before moving to streaming platforms.
