Lisa to release ‘Always Lalisa’ documentary in October

BLACKPINK member Lisa is set to release her feature documentary, ‘Always Lalisa’, following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Directed by Sue Kim and produced by Sony Music Vision, the film will have a limited IMAX and theatrical release starting October 12, 2026, before streaming exclusively on YouTube Premium later in the year.

The documentary explores a pivotal year in Lisa’s life as she pursues an independent solo career, including her acting debut in HBO’s ‘The White Lotus’ and her upcoming Netflix projects. It also addresses the intense pressures of global stardom and the unspoken rules of K-pop culture. Lisa reveals in the film that she previously kept romantic relationships secret to avoid damaging BLACKPINK’s popularity, stating, “In K-pop culture, we can’t date. If you’re seeing someone and you get caught by paparazzi, your popularity drops.”

In addition to the film, Lisa is expanding her solo brand with the release of her new single ‘SaWaDiKa’ and her upcoming EP, ‘Press Play’, scheduled for release in October. Her recent professional milestones include performing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony and announcing a Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
